We are an association of barristers who specialise in:

Plus other aspects of local government and administrative law.

Why join PEBA?

PEBA exists to represent the interests of its members and to provide opportunities to meet and discuss these. We regularly respond to a number of consultations from the government and other organisations. We actively seek to promote equality and diversity in our profession, encouraging people from a wide range of backgrounds to become the next generation of practitioners. PEBA provides a busy programme of events including seminars, our annual conference and social events.

Who can join PEBA?

Membership of PEBA is open to barristers who undertake a significant part of their practice in planning, local government or environment law. Associate membership is open to pupils, bar students and university students with a significant interest in local government, planning and environmental law. Our wider membership includes honorary members of the judiciary, pupils and students with an interest in our areas of work.
